Reduce refers to, in the textile and clothing industry, the designing of products that reduce energy usage during the consuming/using stage. Example of this might be that as a designer designs products in materials that do not need to be washed as often. such as dark colors. Moreover one can design loose t-shirts, using materials that do not require high washing temeratures and one can even design clothes where you only need to wash parts of garment.
