Patagonia is an American clothing company that sells sports and outdoor wear. The founder, Yvon Chouinard started the company in 1972 and is known for his environmental commitment and his way of doing business with concern for both employees and the environment. He has written the management book "Let my people go surfing – The education of a reluctant businessman." Patagonia was also a co-founder of "1% For The Planet" which is an association where businesses donate at least 1% of their total sales to environmental organizations.
