The term resource consumption refers to a product's energy, water and chemical consumption. When you talk about resource consumption in the textile industry should have a life-cycle perspective and make sure that both fiber preparations, dyeing, processing and other textile processes are accounted for. Also one should account for the resources required for the consumers use and how to take advantage of resources when the garment is no longer used for it’s original purpose, such as reuse and recycling.
