European Chemicals Agency (Europeiska kemikaliemyndigheten), ECHA is located in Helsinki, Finland. The agency was established by the REACH-regulation and should handle what their name emphasizes, that is, the registration, evaluation, authorisation and restriction of chemical substances to ensure consistency across the EU. The aim is to provide information on chemicals, make sure they are used safely and contribute to the competitiveness of European industry.
