Righteous fashion is a fashion company that was first Launched in the Scandinavian market in 2007. The company was Founded in 2006 by Kajsa Holst Cappelen and Paula Kermfors that several years previously studied human rights together. After working with development for a time they built up the vision of entrepreneurship with fair trade that is a good tool for social and sustainable development in developing countries. Their first step was to establish a sustainable production chain and when they visited Uganda they learned more about organic cotton plantations. (1)

Today's production takes place under the certification of IFAT (International Fair Trade Association) and FLO (Fairtrade Labeling Organizations International). Their high quality standard can only be achieved by treating the people who produce their garments with respect. Their whole production chain is characterized by high demands for justice and environmental awareness. The cotton they use is from India and are both Fair Trade labeled and organic. They also use cashmere from Nepal where the goats graze freely and are well treated. The actual garment production takes place in Mauritius. In all stages workers have the right to organize and living-wages. (2)
