Preparation
From TEKOWiki
English (en) svenska (sv)
Preparation is the collective name for various textile processes on fabric or yarns such as pretreatment, bleaching, mercerising, dyeing, printing and post/after-treatments. Resource consumption in the textile industry, namely energy, water and chemical consumption are among other things linked to the wet-treatments during preparation. In other mechanical processing such as spinning, weaving, knitting, and making-up it is primarily electrical energy that is needed, while the wet process requires a lot of energy for heating the bath and the drying and heat treatment of textile materials. In addition, the wet processes requires water and chemicals.
