Öko-Tex Standard 1000 is a comprehensive ecological production standard that addresses all the environmental aspects that may be present in a textile factory. The standard also addresses working conditions, social conditions, discrimination and child labor. Certification is an assessment of a textile company's environmental performance. That is to say that the company applying for certification according to Öko-Tex Standard 1000 report emissions to air, land and water but also energy and water consumption. Also, if any chemicals or dyes have been used. The standard prohibits certain technologies that are environmentally damaging and harmful to employees who work with production. Certification is valid for a production site. Another advantage is that it is possible to label the finished product with Öko-tex 1000.
