TEKOwiki is unique. It is the first Swedish industry based wiki with a focus on sustainable development. Here we are in the textile and fashion industry, and of course anyone who's interested, have access to timely information on environmental and social aspects of the industry.
A wiki is a web-based encyclopedia where content can be edited and updated by the users themselves. At first TEKOwiki built based on the contents of Textile Environmental Handbook with trade organization TEKO- Swedish Textile and Clothing Industries' Association issued in 1997 but the purpose is to reference work will be developed and continuously updated by the users of the wiki. So it is up to us how good and timely TEKOwiki gets!
TEKOwiki provided by the trade organization TEKO - Swedish Textile and Clothing Industries' Association but is open to students, businesses and the public both to assimilate the information and work with the contents of the articles. Note Important to remember is that it is up to the reader to judge the articles' timeliness and usefulness.
The goal is that employees, students and others involved in the textile industry here should be able to find current information on environmental impacts, environmental management, environmental labeling, product development, regulatory, Corporate Social Responsibility , Code of Conduct and much more!
