There are two types of textile fibres made from bamboo raw material, [[bamboo linen]] and [[bamboo viscose]].

Natural bamboo is taken from the plant and spun directly without chemical modification to the threads. The fibre structure is agreeable, pleasant and absorbing. It has a silky feel to it is finely spun yarns even though it is made of bast fibres.
